Subsea Production Control Systems (SPCS) have to be designed, tested and commissioned with Technical Integrity. Critical elements of SPCS that are reviewed by Nexus are:
Fluid Power: Water-glycol based control fluid conforming to high cleanliness standards is needed to OPEN and CLOSE subsea actuated valves, SCSSV and SSIV (where applicable). This is supplied by the Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU).
Electrical Power: this s is needed at the Subsea Control Module for powering electrical and electronic equipment including sensors and detectors. This is supplied by the Electrical Power Unit (EPU).
Communication: Data exchange is achieved from the MCS through TPU's via Fiber Optics the Subsea Control Module.
